B2L Legacy
B2L Legacy creates experiential learning for our participants through workshops, events, and wrap around support services. The focus is to create intentional pathways and pipelines to community access and representation within the systems of criminal justice, healthcare, and education.

PRIMARY GOAL
To provide a platform for youth, young adults, institutional stakeholders, and community members to learn from each other and engage in critical conversations and address real barriers within the systems of education, healthcare and criminal justice.
Legacy Change Theory
The legacy change theory highlights the impact efforts within B2L Legacy can have on the broader
community. B2L Legacy is a point of entry for any community member ages 12-55+ We don’t just focus on youth and young aduls with the legacy inititative. This initiative allows us to impact the families of our students and surrounding community members. It truly takes a village
HOW DOES LEGACY IMPACT COMMUNITY?
Through a pathway and pipeline of stakeholders we develop shared initiatives that create community centric opportunities. These opportunities fall within the legacy funnels of community voice efforts, career exploration, Economic Mobility, community engagement opportunities for partners, and policy and systems change.

MELANIN & MEDICINE: FOSTERING REPRESENTATION IN HEALTHCARE
Build 2 Lead, in partnership with Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, Morehouse School of Medicine, and educational partners, has hosted three Melanin and Medicine events to connect students with Black and Brown healthcare professionals and explore healthcare careers. The events have featured breakout sessions on mental health, career navigation, and battling discrimination, while fostering connections between students, families, and clinicians.
