Phase 1

The POWER Council is taking a three-phase approach to community voice, community empowerment, and community healing. This month we are moving into the first phase, which started with a P.O.W.E.R Partners Convening in January of 2023.

Listening Sessions

Design, develop, and facilitate ten community centric listening sessions, where BIPOC youth, young adults, and other community members with diverse lived experiences will be invited to share feedback that will inform our program design and implementation strategy.

Survey

Develop a survey to collect information about best practices and lessons learned from providers and partners working in spaces to promote wellness by impacting three key social determinants of health: (1) health care services; (2) increasing educational opportunities  (3) increasing social and community supports.

Community Council

Recruit a diverse group of 15-20 BIPOC community members to join our Community Council. The community council is a collective of BIPOC youth, young adults and adults who will work alongside our P.O.W.E.R partners to cultivate a health and wellness initative for Build 2 Lead
