Build 2 Lead's Civic Champions program celebrated their graduation ceremony on June 15th and 16th at the Why Not You Academy (WNYA) and Thomas Jefferson High School.
Civic Champions is a Build 2 Lead Direct program for high school youth that educates, provides opportunities, and encourages community engagement and advocacy. Civic Champions was created by BIPOC educators and civic leaders to offer training that helps prepare leaders of tomorrow through culturally relevant civic-engagement curriculum.
We are so proud of our Civic Champions! They worked hard to learn about government, criminal justice, and advocacy. Look out for these FUTURE LEADERS!
