P.O.W.E.R. Council Held First Listening Session!

The Build 2 Lead P.O.W.E.R Council held it's first listening session on July 19th! Nineteen diverse participants joined us to speak openly and honestly about their experiences and understanding surrounding healthcare.

Topics included healthcare careers, healing from trauma from the healthcare system, and healthcare access. Held at the HealthPoint Clinic in Federal Way, community stakeholders, youth, young adults and adults participated and were provided a $75 gift card, food, and an opportunity to apply for our community council that will begin deeper planning and advocacy within the system of health care in Spring of 2024.

The P.O.W.E.R. Council Listening Sessions were developed to find solutions for better community health, economic opportunities, and stronger community connections. Build 2 Lead is working to find advantageous pathways around health systems and healthcare career options. B2L encourages community members to share in honest conversations so that there voices become a part of the solution!

Thank you to our P.O.W.E.R. Partners for making the first listening session a success!
