From Nov. 6th -8th Build 2 Lead staff embarked on our first group work trip in Las Vegas, NV. Our staff attended the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals Annual Youth Symposium.
With hundreds of attendees, Build 2 Lead was able to gain more strategies and best practices on cultivating youth centric models of strategic workforce development and increasing our capacity to serve more students and communities through our “Closing the G.A.P” program.
Our group also, engaged in team building activities such as escape rooms and took time to explore the sites in Las Vegas. It was a memorable trip and increased our culture building and bonding a staff and gave us more tools to truly address the current inequities within the workforce for BIPOC youth and young adults ages 16-24. We look forward to traveling again and are appreciative of the partners we met along the way!
