MARCH 2023 PROGRAM UPDATES

B2L Direct



B2L Direct empowers, educates, and engages delivering in-person programming to students, families, and communities. B2L Direct focuses on topics such as financial literacy, coping skills, advocacy, and entrepreneurship.


Build 2 Lead has received funding from the Healthy and Safe Environments Initiative through Best Starts for Kids to develop pathways to youth centric civic engagement programming and school-based listening and learning sessions around the discipline and restorative practices inside of our partner schools.


Civic Engagement and Youth Voice!



Build 2 Lead is also offering our Civic-Engagement program entitled Civic-Champions, which focuses on preparing the leaders of tomorrow through a CICculturally relevant civic-engagement curriculum.


Scholars are learning about the purpose, functions, and components of the Criminal Justice, Education, and Healthcare systems. Thank you to our partners Why Not You Academy and Thomas Jefferson High School for allowing Build 2 Lead to work with your students.


Preparing Tomorrow’s Workforce!



In partnership with Roots of Success, Build 2 Lead is offering our 2nd generation of the Closing the G.A.P. Workforce Development Program (Gaining. Access. Through. Preparation.) This program provides students with over 100 hours of workforce training and skills like resume building, college option exploration, business plan development, and job interview practice.


Thank you to our partners at Thomas Jefferson High School for allowing us to provide your students with this amazing opportunity.


B2L Virtual:


Build 2 Lead is in process of building out our first phase of our virtual platform. We will be offering virtual options to our Civic-Champion Program, Entre-leadership Program, and Foundational Modules from each program to our Gamechanger Summer Academy Participants. We have provided piloting opportunities to students in our partner schools.
